Welcome to the National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, a project supported by The Heritage Foundation.
The Task Force is an informal volunteer coalition of organizations and individuals who joined together after the horrific attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023. We are committed to action combatting antisemitism here at home and reaffirming America’s commitment to bilateral relations with Israel.
Our Team
Mario Bramnick
President of the Latino Coalition for Israel, one of the most influential Hispanic Pro-Israel organizations in America and Latin America, whose vision is to combat the global rise of Antisemitism and raise awareness of the critical intersection of Israel and the United States. Pastor Bramnick was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on the Florida Faith Based and Community-Based Advisory Council. He also worked with Former Ambassador David Friedman and Former Special Envoy Jason Greenblatt in securing pro-Israel language to strengthen the Republican platform. This reinstated reference to an undivided Jerusalem. Pastor Bramnick served as part of the National Hispanic Advisory Board for President Trump’s 2016 campaign and on the Advisory Board of Latinos for Trump in 2020.
James Carafano
Senior Counselor to the president for International Engagement and the E.W. Richardson Fellow at The Heritage Foundation. Carafano is a leading expert in national security and foreign policy challenges, an accomplished historian and teacher, and a prolific writer and researcher. He is a regular guest analyst for the major U.S. network and cable television news outlets. He has a wealth of experience in public service and academia, including serving for 25 years in the U.S. Army, as well as serving on the Homeland Security Advisory Council from 2012 to 2014 and 2020 to 2021.
Ellie Cohanim
Senior Fellow with Independent Women’s Forum and a national security contributor to Christian Broadcasting Network. In 2021 Cohanim launched and hosted 30 episodes of “Global Perspectives with Ellie Cohanim,” with themes on the Abraham Accords, the Iranian threat, global anti-Semitism, and interfaith understanding for Jewish News Syndicate. Previously, Cohanim served as U.S. deputy special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism at the U.S. Department of State by appointment of the president of the United States and the U.S. secretary of state. Cohanim was the U.S. State Department’s first Iranian-born envoy and helped lead diplomatic initiatives resulting in groundbreaking partnerships in the Arab world. As deputy envoy, she was the lead official for the State Department in creating and implementing policy on countering anti-Semitism in the Near East and Western Hemisphere regions. She also worked closely with Jewish communities in South America in confronting local issues of anti-Semitism.
Luke Moon
Executive Director of the Philos Project. For over 25 years, Luke has been a teacher, writer, and advocate on a variety of social, religious, and political issues. Before coming to the Philos Project, Luke served with Youth with a Mission where he taught young adults how to study and teach the bible, fought human trafficking, and led reconciliation initiatives around the world. From there he moved with his family to Washington D.C. where he worked as business manager for the Institute on Religion and Democracy. For the last decade Luke has focused his attention on raising awareness about persecuted Christians in the Middle East and encouraging Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people. Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from University of the Nations and a master’s degree in Global Politics from Regent University. He is also an ordained Southern Baptist minister. His writing has been featured in The Tower, JNS, The Christian Post, The Federalist, The Forward, Juicy Ecumenism, Washington Examiner, and Providence Magazine.
